Rikub 2025 Consortium Members Visit PT Agroniaga

Members of the Rikub 2025 Consortium conducted a field visit to PT Agroniaga, a pioneering social enterprise, following their progress meeting at Universitas Brawijaya. The visit aimed to explore practical applications of the circular economy model within the coffee industry.

Agroniaga serves as a model for sustainable coffee development through several impactful initiatives. The company mentors around 50 farmers in implementing Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), purchases coffee waste to provide farmers with additional income, and offers agricultural facilities while fostering collaboration in cultivation activities.

During the visit, consortium members gained valuable insights into the potential of circular economy practices, particularly how coffee waste can be transformed into high-value products. The team also learned about sustainable farmer empowerment models that create long-term social and environmental impact.

This visit provided important inspiration for the consortium’s mission to maximize value across the coffee supply chain while minimizing environmental impact.
